Xingyi is an internal style of Chinese martial arts, similar to tai chi and Bagua. It is based on five elements, so that each element is expressed in a characteristic technique of struggle. These elements are grouped into twelve methods of simulating the fighting skills of animals. Xingyi is still used by modern military and police for training. It is also very popular and is used in sanitary purposes, in parallel with traditional Chinese medicine.
